Paramount Pictures has unveiled the trailer for the latest cinematic adventure featuring the little blue Belgian characters known as the Smurfs. This animated journey centers around Smurfette's heroic effort to rescue Papa Smurf, who has been kidnapped by the wicked wizards Razamel and Gargamel.
The voicing cast for the Smurfs includes a remarkable lineup, featuring Rihanna, James Corden, Nick Offerman, JP Karliak, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Natasha Lyonne, Sandra Oh, Octavia Spencer, Nick Kroll, Hannah Waddingham, Alex Winter, Maya Erskine, Billie Lourd, and Xolo Maridueña, along with Kurt Russell and John Goodman. When Papa Smurf (voiced by John Goodman) is taken by the nefarious wizards Razamel and Gargamel, Smurfette (voiced by Rihanna) rallies the Smurfs for a journey into the real world to rescue him. With the assistance of new allies, the Smurfs must uncover what shapes their destiny in order to save the universe.
Smurfs will hit theaters on July 18th.
