      Disney has released the first trailer and poster for Freakier Friday, the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2003 comedy. Directed by Nisha Ganatra, the film features Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan reprising their roles as Tess and Anna, set 20 years after the original, as the mother and daughter learn that sometimes lightning truly does strike twice. Check out the trailer below…

      In this film, Curtis and Lohan return as Tess and Anna Coleman. The narrative takes place years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) faced an identity crisis. Anna now has her own daughter and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they handle the various challenges that arise from combining two families, Tess and Anna realize that lightning might actually strike twice.

      The sequel also features Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray, Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon.

      Freakier Friday is set to hit theaters on August 8th.
