      Brainstorm Media has released a poster and trailer for the horror-thriller Birthrite, directed by Ross Partridge (Stranger Things), in anticipation of its debut this August.

      The story revolves around an expectant couple who inherit a house from a distant aunt. As they settle in, they uncover a sinister legacy and a karmic curse that puts their unborn child at risk.

      The cast features Alice Kremelberg, Juani Feliz, Michael Chernus, Patch Darragh, Owen Campbell, Jennifer Lafleur, and Henny Russell. Check out the trailer below...

      When a pregnant woman inherits a home from her estranged aunt, she and her girlfriend leave the city to start anew. However, as a karmic debt endangers their unborn child, they realize they are entwined in the town's haunted history.

      Birthrite will be released in theaters and on-demand on August 8th.
