In 1954, an experiment with a mysterious energy source known as Kai-Sei led to the awakening of Godzilla and a multitude of immortal kaiju. In the years since, humanity has faced relentless monster assaults. While Japan has started to view the kaiju as natural disasters and recognized that their attempts to fight Godzilla only exacerbate the threat, the American G-Force is determined to fight back.
The Americans have just uncovered the ultimate weapon in the battle against kaiju: a young boy named Jacen who possesses the power of Godzilla. Capable of tapping into the enigmatic Kai-Sei similarly to the King of the Monsters, this boy may either be the world's salvation or its destruction.
Godzilla #1 will be released on Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025.
