In Flying Solo by Tajinder Singh Hayer, the Doctor decides to assist Officer Mohinder Singh Johal, a World War II RAF pilot who disappeared along with his Spitfire after encountering the TARDIS. Despite the TARDIS being struck by a time disruptor, the Doctor takes the opportunity to return him home.
The Junkyard Loop by Aaron Douglas sees the TARDIS crash-land on an isolated junk planet filled with remnants of time machines from various civilizations. After being rescued from Time-Frost Parasites by Sodalis, a long-marooned former companion, the Doctor must discover a way to save them both. Meanwhile, a sinister Division commander has tracked the Doctor and seeks the secrets in her mind before Cosmogon can reach her.
