Netflix has released an unfiltered teaser for their series adaptation of Man on Fire, featuring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, known for his roles in Candyman and Wonder Man, as John Creasy—the relentless assassin initially portrayed by Denzel Washington in Tony Scott's 2004 film.
Kyle Killen, renowned for Fear Street, serves as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner for Man on Fire, while Steven Caple Jr., director of Creed II, will direct the first two episodes. The cast also includes Billie Boullet, Bobby Cannavale, Alice Braga, Scoot McNairy, and Paul Ben-Victor. Check out the action-filled video below...
The storyline of Man on Fire centers on John Creasy, who was once a highly skilled and capable Special Forces mercenary known for his ability to endure the toughest circumstances. Now, however, he is grappling with severe PTSD and personal struggles. As he seeks a new beginning, he will find himself thrust back into the (metaphorical) fire, fighting harder than ever before.
Man on Fire premieres on April 30th, exclusively on Netflix.
