James Bond kicks off with the launch trailer for 007 First Light.

      With anticipation growing for the release of 007 First Light on May 27th, IO Interactive has unveiled an exhilarating, action-filled launch trailer (see below). The trailer offers a glimpse into the combat challenges players will encounter, the romantic interests they might explore, and the gadgets they will utilize.

      This new origin narrative for James Bond, portrayed by Patrick Gibson, follows the young agent as he embarks on a career in espionage. His journey begins with confrontations against former 00 agent John Greenway, a strict and disciplined training instructor. With the backing of M, Bond is set on an action-packed adventure around the globe to track down the unpredictable Bawma, played by Lenny Kravitz.

      As Bond, players will have access to various spy techniques to aid them in their missions. Whether visiting Q Branch for an array of gadgets designed for hacking, eliminations, and stealth takedowns, or leveraging Bond’s instincts to entice foes, deceive their way out of tricky situations, or enhance focus during combat, players will find numerous approaches to tackle each mission.

      Additionally, players can extend the excitement beyond the main storyline through Tactical Simulation (TacSim), a replay-oriented mode located within the MI6 secret facility. This mode includes the first two missions, allowing players to try out different strategies, with more missions unlocking as they progress.

      007 First Light will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store) on May 27th, and is now open for pre-orders in Standard, Deluxe, Collector’s, and Legacy Editions.
