Following Under the Silver Lake, David Robert Mitchell is back in the director's seat, this time helming a large-scale adventure film for a major studio. His film, The End of Oak Street (formerly known as Flowervale Street), is backed by Warner Bros. and produced by J.J. Abrams, featuring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor. With its release approaching on August 14 in both IMAX and standard theaters, the latest trailer and poster have been unveiled, giving a glimpse of the creature feature that is set to unfold.
Here’s the synopsis: “After a mysterious cosmic event separates Oak Street from suburbia and transports the neighborhood to an unknown location, the Platt family quickly realizes that their survival hinges on their ability to stick together as they navigate through their now unfamiliar environment.”
