The Baby in the Basket is included in Shudder's horror lineup for July.

      We have some thrilling news here at Flickering Myth to kick off the second half of the year! Our gothic horror feature film The Baby in the Basket has been acquired by Shudder and will be featured in the platform’s July lineup in the United States, joining several cult classics and iconic titles of the genre!

      Directed by Nathan Shepka (Dead Before They Wake) from a screenplay by FM veteran Tom Jollife (Cinderella’s Revenge), The Baby in the Basket is set in a secluded convent on a Scottish island during World War II and follows a group of nuns who find an abandoned baby amid a storm. Leading the cast is Amber Doig-Thorne (Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey), along with Maryam d’Abo (The Living Daylights), Paul Barber (The Full Monty), Annabelle Lanyon (Legend), Michaela Longden (How to Kill Monsters), and Lisa Riesner (Moder).

      The Baby in the Basket represents Flickering Myth’s initial venture into independent filmmaking, marking the beginning of our collaboration with Shepka Productions. This partnership has since grown to include the suspense thriller Death Among the Pines (currently available for streaming on Tubi in the U.S. and set to release in the UK in September), as well as the recently announced reboot of the horror franchise, Robert the Doll, titled Robert Returns.
