      Netflix is bringing us back to Bikini Bottom with the release of the trailer for the spin-off villain tale, Plankton: The Movie. The story centers around the malevolent inhabitant of the Chum Bucket, who has been a long-time rival of Spongebob Squarepants. In Plankton: The Movie, this mischievous character is compelled to become a hero when their underwater realm faces a threat from a familiar adversary. You can watch the trailer below.

      Sheldon J. Plankton, SpongeBob SquarePants' smallest adversary, is finally getting his moment in the spotlight. When Plankton's latest evil plot is disrupted, both Bikini Bottom and the surface world face an unforeseen peril. Before he can dominate the world, Plankton must first save it.

      Plankton: The Movie will be available for streaming on Netflix starting March 7th, 2025.
