Chris Hülsbeck will compose the soundtrack for the 40th Anniversary of Boulder Dash.

      BBG Entertainment has revealed that the iconic video game composer Chris Hülsbeck (also known as Huelsbeck) will be creating the soundtrack for the upcoming Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary, scheduled for release this April on PC, Mac, and consoles.

      Over the years, Chris Hülsbeck has composed the music for numerous exceptional games, significantly enhancing many titles through his compositions. Notable examples include Jim Power, Apidya, Turrican, and X-Out, but there are countless other remarkable soundtracks by this legendary figure in the video game industry that are worth experiencing.

      “Boulder Dash was one of my absolute favourite games when I got my first C64 in the 80s. I’m delighted to be involved in the wonderful new edition of Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary and to be able to contribute a remix of the title music and sound effects,” shares Chris Hülsbeck.

      The Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary promises to be the most comprehensive version of the series to date. In addition to including the 60 original levels from the first three Boulder Dash games with a fresh new look, it will introduce over 80 new levels, featuring some of the top creations from the global Boulder Dash community. An easy-to-use level editor will also be available, along with a selection of three different characters to choose from.

      Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary will include:

      - A completely redesigned engine reminiscent of the original from the 80s.

      - 60 original levels from Boulder Dash 1-3.

      - Four entirely new worlds.

      - 80 brand new and balanced levels.

      - Innovative new items, such as growing walls, locked doors, and more.

      - An editor construction kit.

      - Online high scores and a hall of fame.

      - Three distinct heroes to play as.
