The release date for HUNTERxHUNTER: NENxIMPACT has been revealed along with a new trailer.
Arc System Works has revealed that the highly anticipated HUNTERxHUNTER: NENxIMPACT will launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 17. Fans of the beloved manga and anime series by Yoshihiro Togashi can now pre-order a physical edition for consoles. A new trailer has also been released, which can be viewed below.
This is the first fighting game for the popular franchise, featuring a 3v3 combat system with 16 characters available at launch, drawn from various arcs of the 2011 anime adaptation. Each character will possess distinct styles and powerful abilities that players can explore during gameplay. Players will have the opportunity to form their ideal teams and compete against others.
The game will include various gameplay modes, such as a training mode, Free Battle (which allows players to compete with friends in local play or against the CPU), Single Mode, and Story Mode. In Single Mode, players will face a series of challenges against the CPU in the ‘Sky Arena’ and practice combos in ‘Combo Trial’. Story Mode will let players experience memorable scenes from the 2011 anime. Both modes will enable players to earn Titles, Profile Icons, and Greed Island Cards.
Additionally, there will be several online modes, including casual Player Matches for enjoyable play with others globally, and Ranked Matches where players can compete to achieve the highest scores and earn Rank Points. Both modes will also provide opportunities to collect Greed Island Cards.
Post-launch, a new DLC featuring Nephelpito from the Chimera Ants arc will be available. Players can acquire this character by purchasing the DLC separately or through the Deluxe version of the game.
Standard and Deluxe Editions of the game are currently available for pre-order on PS5, along with digital versions on PC, while Nintendo Switch pre-orders are expected soon.
