A new Doctor Who adventure featuring the Fourth Doctor sends the Doctor and Leela on a haunted safari.

      A brand-new box set of full-cast audio drama featuring the Fourth Doctor is now available for purchase on the Big Finish website, offering listeners a unique safari experience. The Fourth Doctor Adventures: The Hellwood Inheritance will take the Fourth Doctor and Leela to a safari park where the attractions include ghosts, presented in a four-part story, followed by a two-part story set on a distant planet.

      In The Hellwood Inheritance (written by Alan Barnes), the TARDIS arrives at Hellwood Manor. Once outside, the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) and Leela (Louise Jameson) find themselves being chased through the English countryside by a headless knight. Upon reaching the manor, they are mistaken for paranormal investigators and introduced to a mysterious ‘ghost catcher’ device, but the Doctor is skeptical about the true nature of the situation.

      Writer Alan Barnes commented, “I dislike elevator pitches – the concept is dreadful beyond words. So I was quite taken aback when one unexpectedly occurred to me! It’s Jurassic Park… but instead of dinosaurs, it features ghosts! Real, live, dead ghosts!”

      In the box set’s two-part story The Memory Thieves by Phil Mulryne, the Doctor and Leela arrive on the colony world of New Pasithea, where strange electrical impulses from the forests are causing individuals to lose their memories. Can they rescue the colonists from the 'Abeyance,’ or is the community destined for doom?

      Phil Mulryne remarked, “I find memory to be particularly intriguing to explore. It’s fundamental to our identity and understanding of who we are. So, if parts of it are lost through an accident or illness, then… are we still the same person? Or have we transformed into someone else? Has our identity shifted?”

      Joining Tom Baker and Louise Jameson are Tamzin Outhwaite, James Meteyard, Rosalie Craig, Rosie Day, Chris Jarman, Richard James, Ayesha Antoine, Daisy Ashford, Glen McCready, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, and Wayne Forester.
