Meet The Parents 4 is officially confirmed, with John Hamburg directing and the original cast returning.

      Prepare for more Fockers! Universal has officially confirmed the production of Meet The Parents 4, following an initial report a few months ago, and has enlisted director John Hamburg, who co-wrote the original Meet The Parents, to helm the new film featuring Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, and Blythe Danner.

      The first Meet The Parents was released in 2000, showcasing Stiller's character Greg Focker as he aimed to propose to his girlfriend Pam, portrayed by Polo, but first had to face her parents. What was expected to be a simple weekend at her family’s home rapidly turned into a challenging experience as Pam’s overprotective father Jack, a former spy, meticulously examined Greg's every action, leading to a series of embarrassing mishaps.

      The film became an enormous success, leading to two sequels: Meet The Fockers, where Jack and Danner’s character Dina met Greg’s parents, played by Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand, and Little Fockers, in which Greg and Pam became parents of five-year-old twins.

      While details of the plot remain undisclosed, Hamburg will be penning the script, having written all three previous entries in the series. Jay Roach, who directed the original and Meet The Fockers, will produce through Delirious Media. Hamburg will also produce via Particular Pictures, while De Niro will produce through Tribeca Pictures alongside Jane Rosenthal, and Stiller will produce under Red Hour Films with John Lesher.
