Shudder releases trailer for the exorcism horror film Shadow of God.

      Shudder has unveiled a trailer for Michael Peterson's forthcoming horror film, Shadow of God.

      The movie centers on Father Mason Harper, who returns to his childhood home after several fellow exorcists are murdered. Upon arriving in the small town, he learns that his father, whom he thought was dead, is alive and possessed by a holy force, triggering a series of events of biblical significance that challenge his faith.

      The film stars Mark O’Brien, Jacqueline Byers, and Shaun Johnston. Take a look at the trailer below, along with the poster and official promotional images.

      After the sudden deaths of several Vatican exorcists, Father Mason Harper goes back to his childhood home to reconnect with a childhood friend as he waits for instructions from the Church. However, the town conceals dark secrets related to Mason’s past and the religious institution once led by his father, Angus. Believed to be deceased, Angus reemerges, leading to a reunion between father and son. However, Angus has changed, and Mason soon fears he’s not possessed by the devil, but by something … holy. When Mason tries to drive the entity out of his father, it triggers a series of events that could culminate in a cataclysm of biblical magnitude, testing everything Mason holds dear.

      Shadow of God will be available on Shudder on April 11th.
