New trailer released for the Blumhouse thriller "Drop," featuring Meghann Fahy.

In anticipation of its theatrical debut this April, Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for Blumhouse’s upcoming thriller, Drop.

Directed by Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky), the film follows widowed mother Violet (Meghann Fahy) as she receives anonymous text messages during her first date in years, warning her to adhere to the instructions given or her children's lives will be jeopardized.

Alongside Fahy, the cast includes Brandon Sklenar, Violett Beane, Jacob Robinson, Reed Diamond, Gabrielle Ryan, Jeffery Self, Ed Weeks, and Travis Nelson. You can check out the new trailer below.

Emmy nominee Meghann Fahy, known for her roles in White Lotus and The Perfect Couple, portrays Violet, a widowed mother who is on her first date in years. At an upscale restaurant, she is pleasantly surprised to find her date, Henry (Brandon Sklenar from It Ends with Us), to be charming and handsome. However, their chemistry quickly diminishes as Violet becomes increasingly annoyed and then terrified by a series of anonymous messages to her phone.

She is instructed to keep silent and obey the commands, or a hooded figure captured on her home security cameras will harm her young son and babysitting sister. Violet must follow the directions exactly, or everyone she cares about is at risk. The final command from her unseen tormentor? Kill Henry.

Drop is set to hit theaters on April 11th.
