Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for its sci-fi comedy series Murderbot, inspired by the acclaimed book series by Martha Wells. The show follows Alexander Skarsgård's rebellious security robot on its quest to find the purpose of existence.
Directed by Chris and Paul Weitz (known for American Pie and About a Boy) alongside Tao Fraser (Sweet Tooth), the ten-episode series features a cast that includes Jennifer Sendaula, David Dastmalchian, Tattiawna Jones, and Sabrina Wu. Check out the trailer below…
“In a futuristic world, a rogue security robot (Alexander Skarsgård) unexpectedly acquires free will. To avoid detection, it unwillingly accepts a new task to protect scientists on a perilous planet…despite its desire to indulge in soap operas.”
Murderbot is set to premiere on May 16th on Apple TV+.
