Dune: Awakening has been postponed until June.
Those eager to explore the realm of Arakis will need to wait a bit longer, as Dune: Awakening has been postponed until 10th June. In a statement today, Funcom mentioned that the game needs “more time to cook” after receiving feedback from beta testers. On a positive note, there will be another large-scale beta weekend next month—more information about this will be released soon.
Many gamers expecting to begin their survival journey on Arakis in May may feel disappointed, but this decision from the developers deserves praise. In a time when sticking to initial release dates is commonplace, it’s refreshing to see a developer prioritize the gaming experience.
Dune: Awakening is a vast multiplayer survival game that transports players to Arrakis, the perilous planet in the Dune universe. Adventurers entering this treacherous world will encounter not only scorching deserts and deadly Sandworms but also stunning landscapes. Players will need to establish their dominance over the planet by building massive bases, managing the Spice flow, and overcoming adversaries in combat.
Dune: Awakening is now set to launch on 10th June, with a head start available starting on 5th June.
