The featurette "28 Years Later" examines the effects of the Rage Virus.

      Following the trailer for 28 Years Later released yesterday, a new featurette has been shared online for the highly-anticipated sequel. In it, director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland discuss their vision of a world devastated by the Rage Virus nearly thirty years after the initial outbreak in 28 Days Later; you can check it out below…

      “Academy Award®-winning director Danny Boyle and Academy Award®-nominated writer Alex Garland come together again for 28 Years Later, a chilling new tale set in the universe established by 28 Days Later. Nearly three decades have passed since the rage virus escaped from a biological weapons lab, and within a strictly enforced quarantine, some individuals have managed to survive among the infected. One such group resides on a small island linked to the mainland by a single, heavily protected causeway. When one member of the group ventures off the island on a mission into the sinister depths of the mainland, he uncovers secrets, marvels, and horrors that have transformed not only the infected but other survivors as well.”

      The cast for 28 Years Later features Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, Erin Kellyman, Jack O’Connell, and Alfie Williams.

      28 Years Later is scheduled to be released on June 20th, 2025.
