Cineverse has released two teasers for director Macon Blair’s upcoming remake of the cult classic Troma superhero comedy, The Toxic Avenger, showcasing Peter Dinklage’s mutated vigilante, Toxie, in action.
In addition to Peter Dinklage, the cast includes Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay, Julia Davis, and Taylour Paige. Take a look at the new teasers below…
“A life-changing accident turns the downtrodden janitor Winston Gooze (Dinklage) into a mutant vigilante. With his trusty mop in hand, the unlikely hero fights against freaks, gangsters, and corrupt CEOs, all while trying to maintain his relationship with his son. The narrative captures the subversive, gonzo spirit of the original Toxic Avenger while adding a contemporary twist.”
The Toxic Avenger is set to hit theaters on August 29th.
