Exclusive: Virginie Efira Aims to Rescue Her Family in U.S. Trailer for All to Play For
Before Virginie Efira reunites with her Other People’s Children director Rebecca Zlotowski in the Cannes-bound Vie privée, one of her earlier festival films is finally making its way to the U.S. Delphine Deloget’s drama All to Play For, which debuted in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, features Efira as a bohemian single mother who battles the entire French court system to protect her son.
The film has been acquired by Hope Runs High, who will release it starting May 14 at Laemmle Theatres in Los Angeles, with a special preview happening this Monday at Nitehawk in Williamsburg, NYC. Prior to its release, we are excited to exclusively unveil the new U.S. trailer for this directorial debut, which also includes Mathieu Demy.
“All To Play For captivated me from the very first scene and never let up. Virginie Efira is among the most thrilling international talents on screen today. She navigates every twist of Delphine Deloget’s dynamic debut with a masterful combination of bohemian allure and the driving energy reminiscent of a ’70s exploitation action heroine,” says Hope Runs High curator Taylor Purdee.
