Kevin Smith makes a comeback to Chasing Amy and Mallrats in Quick Stops Volume 3.
Kevin Smith is set to return to the View Askewniverse this August as Dark Horse Comics unveils Quick Stops Volume 3, the new four-issue installment of his black-and-white anthology series.
Written by Smith with illustrations from John Sprengelmeyer (issue #1), Ryan Gajda (issue #2), Mark Reihill (issue #3), and Ahmed Rafaat (issue #4), this latest collection will revisit characters from Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma, while also paying homage to the late Shannen Doherty.
In Quick Stops Volume 3, readers will finally get to explore the comic that Holden McNeil created about his love and loss of Alyssa Jones, as depicted in the film Chasing Amy. Kevin Smith pays tribute to his friend and co-star Shannen Doherty with two stories: one celebrating her remarkable sense of humor and the other serving as a requiem for her character, Rene, in Mallrats. There is also a heartfelt reunion between Jay and Silent Bob and their former Dogma companion, Metatron—Herald of the Almighty, Voice of the one true God, and provider of divine insights. Lastly, we catch up with the Jones sisters and learn the complete story of how Alyssa Jones earned the nickname “Finger Cuffs.” Quick Stops Volume 3 #1 is scheduled for release on August 13th, 2025.
