Scared Stupid Inc. and publisher Yahaha Games have announced that their terrifying point-and-click survival horror game, Midnight Special, will be available in early access on Steam starting May 8th. Drawing inspiration from the classic Clock Tower series, Midnight Special combines 90s horror gaming with elements of Italian Giallo cinema, classic slasher films, and sci-fi horror from the 70s and 80s. In Midnight Special, players assume the role of Sarah, a young girl who takes a babysitting job for two children at the spooky Boyd Manor. When a sudden power outage plunges the house into darkness, a series of supernatural occurrences commence. Sarah soon finds herself inundated with bizarre phone calls, unpleasant smells emanating from the floorboards, and the unsettling behavior of a toy plastic dinosaur that appears to be alive.
As Sarah's grip on reality begins to falter, players must evade deadly pursuits from a mysterious and relentless killer, navigate through cleverly designed puzzles using the point-and-click mechanic, and uncover the chilling, dark secrets of the manor.
