Netflix has released a trailer, poster, and images for the eighth and final season of the acclaimed adult animated comedy series Big Mouth. This season follows the teens of Bridgeton as they encounter new challenges related to high school life.
In Big Mouth's eighth and concluding season, our favorite Bridgeton teens face high school hurdles such as driving, drugs, sexual inexperience, enthusiastic consent, pornography, teenage thoughts, cancel culture, their evolving bodies, and ultimately, the anxiety of an uncertain future. Throughout this journey, friendship remains essential for navigating this tumultuous phase – whether one is just starting puberty, like Nick who experiences his first growth spurt, or nearing its end, like the maturing (and prematurely balding) Andrew. At the season's peak, as many characters find themselves in turmoil, Compassion (embodied by a new creature voiced by Holly Hunter) appears as a vital path forward. Ultimately, this season emphasizes the significance of supporting and standing by friends during chaotic and challenging times. By the conclusion, our characters bravely face the daunting unknown of the future, feeling less fearful about what lies ahead because of their strong bond with one another.
Big Mouth season 8 is set to premiere on Netflix on May 23rd.
