      If you were eager to see what James Gunn was preparing with his interpretation of Superman, the newest trailer offers us our clearest glimpse at the film yet.

      With its release approaching this summer, the superhero blockbuster explores Superman’s complex relationship with a world unprepared for his abilities and Lex Luthor’s intentions to exploit that dynamic.

      Written and directed by the helmer of Guardians of the Galaxy, Superman features David Corenswet as Ka’lel/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern/Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, María Gabriela De Faría as The Engineer, Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Milly Alcock as Supergirl, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Terence Rosemore as Otis, along with Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell as Jonathan and Martha Kent.

      “Superman narrates the tale of Superman’s quest to harmonize his Kryptonian legacy with his human upbringing as Clark Kent from Smallville, Kansas. He symbolizes truth, justice, and the American way, driven by human compassion in a world that views kindness as outdated.”

      Superman is set to hit US theaters on July 11, 2025, and will premiere internationally on July 9, 2025.
