The latest update for World of Warships introduces new game modes, an Azur Lane event, and a livestream.
The May update for World of Warships is here, introducing two new game modes and the return of the well-received Azur Lane collaboration event. Additionally, the Longest Night of Museums celebration in World of Warships commemorates its fifth anniversary with the launch of the interactive digital platform, Naval Museum Atlas.
On May 18th, World of Warships will conduct its fifth annual Longest Night of Museums livestream event, celebrating the progress of iconic warships from World War II. This year, the event will feature the Naval Museum Atlas interactive tool, which rewards players for visiting museums. Notably, renowned historian Dan Snow will engage in a debate about ship evolutions against AI.
The update also introduces a special game mode to honor the 85th anniversary of the evacuation of 300,000 soldiers from Dunkirk. The Operation Dynamo mode includes a new Event Pass where players can earn Containers, the "Monochrome" Enemy Destruction Effect, permanent camouflages, and much more. Additionally, a new limited-time Port activity allows players to use cards representing the Little Ships of Dunkirk to tackle challenges and rivals. Successful participation can yield Operation Dynamo Containers, a special "Braving the Fire Flag," and the Tier VI British destroyer Gallant.
Players will also have the opportunity to engage in the new limited-time Perilous Route mode, where they will escort a damaged Command Ship to its destination while battling enemy forces. During the escort, Command Ships will need to halt twice to complete a random task before continuing. This mode is available to players using any Tier VIII to IX ships, excluding submarines.
Lastly, the May update brings more crossover content from Azur Lane, the exit of Soviet submarines from early access, the construction of the Tier IX German Premium heavy cruiser Blücher 1939 in the Dockyard, and new Ranked Battles and Brawls.
Set sail for greater adventures in World of Warships’ May update.
