Lionsgate has unveiled the trailer for Americana, a contemporary Western featuring Sydney Sweeney and Paul Walter Hauser as a waitress and a military veteran who contend with an assortment of adversaries over a rare Native American artifact.
Written and directed by Tony Tost (The Terror), the film also stars Halsey (MaXXXine), Simon Rex (Red Rocket), Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy), and Zahn McClarnon (Dark Winds). You can watch the trailer and view the poster below...
“In this highly entertaining modern-day western, a variety of vibrant characters clash over a unique Native American artifact. When the artifact ends up on the black market, a timid waitress with big aspirations (Sydney Sweeney) joins forces with a lovesick military veteran (Paul Walter Hauser) to retrieve it, drawing the ire of a merciless criminal (Eric Dane) acting on behalf of an antiquities dealer (Simon Rex). As the conflict escalates, others join the fray, including the head of an indigenous group (Zahn McClarnon) and a desperate woman escaping her enigmatic past (Halsey).”
Americana will be released in theaters on August 22, 2025.
