HBO has delved into the stand-pipe and unveiled the first teaser trailer for IT: Welcome to Derry.
The nine-episode series has been created for television by Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti, the team behind the billion-dollar film adaptation of Stephen King's IT, who, along with Jason Fuchs (Wonder Woman), have crafted this new horror tale.
Muschietti will be directing the first four episodes of IT: Welcome to Derry, which features a cast including Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, and Rudy Mancuso, with Bill Skarsgård reprising his role as the menacing Pennywise the Clown. You can watch the trailer below…
“Set within the realm of Stephen King’s IT universe, IT: Welcome to Derry is based on King’s IT novel and elaborates on the vision that filmmaker Andy Muschietti established in the feature films IT and IT Chapter Two.”
IT: Welcome to Derry will be available for streaming on HBO Max later this year.
