
Mattel is collaborating with TriStar Pictures to create a Whac-A-Mole movie.
With its Matchbox film in post-production and ongoing filming for Masters of the Universe, Mattel Films is once again exploring its toy catalog, collaborating with TriStar Pictures on a live-action/animated hybrid movie based on Whac-A-Mole.
“Whac-A-Mole is not just a game — it’s a hilarious test of reflexes that has entertained families with a bit of chaos for fifty years,” stated Mattel Films president Robbie Brenner. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with TriStar Pictures to transform this iconic experience into an exhilarating, action-filled adventure for the big screen.”

There are no updates regarding the writer or director for the Whac-A-Mole film yet, but the project is being managed by Elizabeth Bassin and Steve Spohr from Mattel Films along with Shary Shirazi and Kelseigh Coombs from TriStar Pictures.
