A trailer for NEDRA reveals the terrifying Soviet-era horrors lurking in Antarctica.
The Antarctic can be perilous without the right preparation, but in NEDRA, created by solo developer Davit Andreasyan, danger lurks even for those who are ready. NEDRA is a first-person survival horror game set to launch on Steam on June 23rd, transporting players to the Soviet Red Star Antarctic research base, where both ancient terrors and harsh cold pose significant threats. Check out the new announcement trailer below...
Players will assume the role of Artur Arayan, a Soviet mechanic working at the Red Star research base. After an SOS signal is received, the base's staff embarks on a mission into the stark white wilderness. However, when their mission ends in a horrific accident, Artur finds himself isolated, injured, and exposed in one of the most hostile environments on the planet. His only chance for salvation lies in reaching the source of the distress signal, a concealed research station called Aurora.
Helping Artur reach the safety of Aurora will be challenging, as there are creatures lurking in the blizzard that hunger for warmth, and Artur is not a fighter. These monsters are attracted to his body heat like moths to a flame, requiring players to use their wits to survive by managing Artur's temperature and balancing the risk of survival against the threat of hypothermia.
NEDRA aims to engage players with a complex narrative that, while providing answers as the story unfolds, also raises numerous new questions. Ultimately, players will unearth sufficient secrets that will compel them to make a decision that tests their determination.
Stay tuned for NEDRA's release on Steam on June 23rd.
