Well Go USA has released a poster and trailer for Yun-Jin Choi’s Korean drama Big Deal, set in the 1990s, which revolves around an attempted hostile takeover of Korea’s leading Soju company amid the Asian financial crisis. The film features Yoo Hai-jin, Lee Je-hoon, Son Hyun-joo, Choi Young-jun, and Byron Mann. You can watch the trailer below…
In 1997, as the Asian financial crisis strikes Korea, Gukbo, the top Soju company, teeters on the edge of bankruptcy. Within the competitive world of mergers and acquisitions, In-beom (LEE Je-hoon), a young and ambitious associate at the global investment firm Solquin, returns home with Gukbo in his sights. Concealing his true motivations, In-beom presents himself to Jong-rok (YOO Hai-jin), a loyal executive at Gukbo, as a well-meaning consultant intent on rescuing the company. However, as In-beom delves deeper, he uncovers unexpected consequences.
Big Deal is set to hit theaters on June 6th.
