This year marks the 50th anniversary of Talking Heads' first live performance, and they have finally created a music video for their iconic song "Psycho Killer." For this special occasion, they have brought together an impressive talent. Directed by Mike Mills, known for his work on 20th Century Women and various music videos, including the National’s I Am Easy to Find, the video stars Saoirse Ronan and portrays a woman's daily frustrations over a span of 13 days. The band remarked, "This video enhances the song." They expressed their love for what the video is not—it shuns the literal, creepy, bloody, physically violent, or obvious interpretations.
Ronan shared, "Being mentioned alongside Talking Heads is truly one of the coolest experiences of my life, not to mention making a video with the remarkable Mike Mills for one of their most legendary songs—‘Psycho Killer.’ Having grown up listening to their music, this is genuinely a dream come true since childhood. Mike, the rest of the creative team, and I had an amazing time making this, and I can’t wait for the fans of Talking Heads to experience it!"
