According to reports, Walton Goggins and Orville Peck have been cast as M. Bison and Vega in the Street Fighter movie.
In the realm of fighting games, few are revered as much as Street Fighter. The legendary game has inspired numerous imitators and spin-offs, and many fans also remember the movies it produced. The 1994 film Street Fighter has achieved cult status, while the 2009 movie Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li is often regarded as one of the worst adaptations of a video game. So, how would a potential third film perform? With the rumored casting, it could be something special. According to a report from The Insneider, Walton Goggins and singer-turned-actor Orville Peck are being considered for key roles in the project directed by Kitao Sakurai.
Goggins, well-known for his diverse roles in film and television, is being considered for the role of the villain M. Bison. Country musician Orville Peck, who recently made his debut on Broadway, is in discussions to play the masked fighter Vega. Eric Andre is also in talks for a role, which is fitting since Sakurai has directed several episodes of The Eric Andre Show, although details about Andre's character remain unspecified.
The casting rumors have been quite unusual, with suggested actors for Street Fighter including Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Jason Momoa as Blanka, and Roman Reigns as Akuma. Capcom is reportedly taking a significant role in this new adaptation, which was previously associated with Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou (known for Bring Her Back and Talk To Me).
