Carla Gugino teams up with Brad Pitt in The Adventures of Cliff Booth.
Following the casting of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, director David Fincher’s follow-up to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has made another cast addition, with Deadline reporting that Carla Gugino (Watchmen, The Fall of the House of Usher) is joining the Netflix film.
Written by Quentin Tarantino and titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth, the sequel will take place several years after Tarantino’s original film, featuring Brad Pitt’s Cliff now working as a Hollywood fixer. Elizabeth Debicki (MaXXXine) and Scott Caan (Hawaii Five-0) are also set to appear, and Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly in discussions to reprise his role as Rick Dalton from Once Upon a Time…
Gugino has become a frequent collaborator with Netflix, having appeared in Mike Flanagan’s adaptation of Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game, as well as in The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and The Fall of the House of Usher.
Currently, there are limited details available about The Adventures of Cliff Booth, but Fincher is set to direct the film as part of his exclusive agreement with Netflix. This will mark the first collaboration between the renowned directors Fincher and Tarantino, and it will be Fincher’s fourth project with Pitt after Se7en, Fight Club, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Filming for The Adventures of Cliff Booth is anticipated to start later this year, aiming for a release in 2026.
