Dave Bautista teams up with Jake Gyllenhaal in Road House 2.

      Dave Bautista knows how to deliver an impressive performance; the actor had a significant career in the WWE before establishing himself as one of the top wrestlers-turned-actors we’ve seen. He has now found an ideal film to showcase his fighting skills and acting abilities: Road House 2!

      According to Nexus Point News, Bautista will be starring alongside the returning Jake Gyllenhaal. The specifics of his role remain undisclosed, but many speculate that Bautista will draw from his real-life experiences and portray a former fighter similar to Gyllenhaal’s character, Dalton.

      The film will be directed by Guy Ritchie, with Will Beall (Aquaman, Bad Boys: Ride or Die) involved in writing the script. Ritchie is taking over from Doug Liman after a disagreement with Amazon MGM Studios concerning the streaming release of Road House.

      For those unfamiliar with Dave Bautista, he is well-known for his nearly two-decade career as a professional wrestler, during which he became a multi-time WWE Champion. He transitioned to acting full-time and has appeared in major films such as the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, Dune, Glass Onion, and Blade Runner 2049. His next project is Trap House, scheduled for release in November.

      Road House 2 is expected to commence filming this Fall.
