Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill are back in Doctor Who for a Vampire Weekend with Big Finish.
Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill make their Big Finish debut today with the premiere of the first tale in a series of twelve all-new The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures. Taking place after Series 12, Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures – Vampire Weekend features Yasmin Khan attending a hen party on Earth, accompanied by the Doctor. It quickly becomes clear that the Doctor isn't the only surprise attendee.
Vampire Weekend launches a new wave of mayhem for the Thirteenth Doctor. In this initial adventure, Yaz is returning home to the Peak District for her friend Gina’s hen celebration, with the Doctor eager to know more about the gathering. However, when a guest is attacked, the duo realizes that one of the attendees might not be entirely human.
Jodie Whittaker remarked: “I enjoy anything related to vampires – one of my favorite movies is Let the Right One In – so it's great to be involved in a different genre. What made this story enjoyable is the amount of dialogue that the Doctor and Yaz share.”
Alongside Jodie and Mandip are Daniel Walford portraying Daryl, Anna Crichlow as Zoya and Kat, Jeremy Ang Jones as Mason, and Mandi Symonds as Gina’s mother.
Available now from Big Finish for £9.99 (for the digital version) or £11.99 (for the CD box set and digital), Vampire Weekend is the first of twelve full-cast adventures featuring the Thirteenth Doctor. Plus, as usual, there’s a multibuy bundle, as the folks at Big Finish are kind.
