On a mission to collect gormangander waste, the U.S.S. Cerritos comes under attack from a Ferengi warship! The Ferengi are pursuing a debtor who owes them a significant amount — D’Vana Tendi.
As a Starfleet officer, Tendi has no means to repay the debt, and if she confides in her family in the Orion Syndicate, they will simply eliminate her to settle the account.
One thing is clear: If Tendi cannot find a way to settle her debt, the Lower Deckers will soon be in serious trouble, regardless of whether they come across any gormanganders.
Star Trek: Lower Decks #9 will be released on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025.
