Take a look at The Apocalypse with the development log for the low-poly zombie survival game.

Indie developer Team Apocalypse has published the first development log for The Apocalypse, their upcoming sandbox survival game set in a desolate, zombie-infested world. Featuring a unique lo-fi, low-poly aesthetic, this game combines traditional survival elements like crafting, combat, scavenging, and base-building. You can check out the new devlog below…

The Apocalypse will incorporate all the beloved features typical of a zombie survival game—including base-building, crop cultivation, player options for solo or PvP experiences, and combat—but with a unique twist: it's designed for players who don’t have hours to dedicate each day.

“We enjoy survival games, but they can become overly grindy,” states the lead developer. “We aim to create something that feels expansive and engaging while allowing players to jump in and enjoy themselves—even if they only have an hour to spare.”

The devlog highlights several features currently in development, including:

      - Essential survival systems such as hunger, thirst, and crafting.

      - Melee and ranged combat against an intelligent (and formidable) zombie AI.

      - An open world complete with forests, ruins, and a functioning day-night cycle.

      - Options for PvE and PvP servers, featuring raids and territory control.

      - Vehicles, fuel mechanics, and guild management.

The game has now entered full production, emphasizing multiplayer survival. A Closed Alpha is scheduled for later this year, and those interested in participating can sign up here.
