His journey is defined by sorrow, violence, and a reluctant sense of hope. In the award-winning HBO Original series, The Last of Us, Pedro Pascal embodies this intricate character, showcasing Joel’s rugged demeanor and the emotional wounds he bears. Set in a post-apocalyptic America overwhelmed by the infected, Joel is assigned the task of smuggling a young girl, Ellie, across the country—a mission that tests his moral beliefs and rekindles his ability to care amid grief.
