      Bruce Wayne resumes his role as Gotham City’s protector, Batman! The Knightfall Saga comes to an end as Bruce makes his return to Gotham City!       Before the Flashpoint event, Jean-Paul Valley's encounter with his dying father dressed as Azrael dramatically altered his life. Manipulated by the System to become the Church of St. Dumas’ assassin, Jean-Paul instead allied with Batman, taking the Dark Knight’s place when Bane broke his back.

      Disturbed by his past, Valley adopted a more aggressive style as Batman and wore heavier armor. He eventually relinquished the role to a recovering Bruce Wayne and embarked on his own journeys as Azrael.

      Luke Fox never planned to join his father, Lucius Fox, in a career at Wayne Industries. Despite having a talent for technological innovation similar to his father’s, Luke preferred to forge his own path.
