G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #321 features another Silent Interlude by Larry Hama.
As any true G.I. Joe enthusiast will recognize, Marvel Comics' G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #21 remains one of the most legendary elements of the entire franchise, showcasing Larry Hama's classic 'Silent Interlude' storyline. Now, after approximately 300 issues, two different publishers, and 41 years, the iconic comic creator is poised to present another silent masterpiece in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #321.
“This issue is another all-silent installment that features the return of the sound-weaponizing characters initially introduced in G.I. Joe Origins #19,” Larry Hama shared. “They have engineered a portable version of their sonic weapon and equipped it in a stealth dirigible to launch an attack on the GI Joe facility under Camp Greer in the Utah desert. Snake-Eyes and Dawn Moreno, having been at the soundproof range on the lowest level of the Pit, are the only Joes unharmed and must confront the airship on their own.”
“I’m thrilled to have been selected to contribute my voice to this series, especially for this special issue,” remarked artist Chris Mooneyham. “Interpreting Larry’s vision is always both a challenge and an excitement, and #321 is no exception. I hope our work on this title continues to draw ARAH fans back for more.”
“Three hundred issues after the groundbreaking G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #21, Larry Hama has accomplished it once more,” said Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound. “Collaborating with the remarkable Chris Mooneyham, Hama has managed to recapture the essence of the original Silent Interlude while giving it a fresh twist for a new audience.”
