The Street Fighter film has cast its Dhalsim and E. Honda.
Legendary’s Street Fighter film continues to expand the lineup of World Warriors, with Indian action star Vidyut Jammwal (Commando) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Hirooki Goto joining the cast as the iconic Street Fighter II characters Dhalsim and E. Honda.
Both actors will be making their debuts in Hollywood with this film, which is directed by Kitao Sakurai (Bad Trip) and represents the third feature film adaptation of Capcom’s well-known fighting game series, following the 1994 cult classic Street Fighter: The Movie and the 2009 forgettable Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
These latest additions join a growing cast that features Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson as Balrog, Orville Peck as Vega, Andrew Schul as Dan Hibiki, Roman Reigns as Akuma, and Cody Rhodes as Guile.
As of now, the only original playable character from Street Fighter II that remains uncast in the new film is Zangief (with the wrestling-heavy cast, should we anticipate announcements for Rusev or Braun Strowman soon?), along with the original Street Fighter 1987 boss Sagat.
We will keep you updated on any additional casting news, but be sure to follow us on our social media @FlickeringMyth to share your thoughts on the ensemble that Legendary is assembling…
Street Fighter is set to be released on March 20th, 2026.
