The trailer for "It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley" Chronicles a Life That Ended Too Soon

One of the remarkable artists who unfortunately had too brief a time on this earth, Jeff Buckley’s life and legacy are explored in the new film by Oscar-nominated director Amy Berg. It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley, which premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival and includes previously unseen footage from the artist’s archives, is set to be released on August 8 by Magnolia Pictures. In advance of its theatrical debut, the new trailer and poster have been revealed.

The synopsis reads: “IT’S NEVER OVER, JEFF BUCKLEY, directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Amy Berg (DELIVER US FROM EVIL, JANIS: LITTLE GIRL BLUE, WEST OF MEMPHIS), chronicles the life of the emerging young star with an extraordinary voice and innovative artistry, who left the ’90s music scene stunned when he passed away unexpectedly at the age of 30, following the release of his critically acclaimed debut album “Grace.” Through previously unseen footage from Buckley’s archives and personal stories from his mother Mary Guibert, former partners Rebecca Moore and Joan Wasser, Jeff’s former bandmates like Michael Tighe and Parker Kindred, and notable figures such as Ben Harper and Aimee Mann, IT’S NEVER OVER, JEFF BUCKLEY highlights one of modern music’s most influential and mysterious figures.”
