Amazon is developing a Wolfenstein TV series.

      Amazon is in the process of creating a Wolfenstein series. Patrick Somerville (Maniac) is on board as the creator, writer, executive producer, and showrunner for the project, which falls under his chaoticgood.tv production company. Jonah Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham will serve as executive producers through Kilter Films.

      Plot details are not being disclosed, but the official logline for the series reads, “The story of killing Nazis is evergreen.”

      The Wolfenstein video game series is a longstanding franchise of first-person shooter games that explore an alternate history of World War II and its consequences. These games focus on U.S. soldier William “B.J.” Blazkowicz, an American spy battling Nazis within an intricate castle setting.

      The inaugural game, Castle Wolfenstein, debuted in 1981, while its notable landmark title, Wolfenstein 3D, was released in 1992 by id Software. In total, there have been 14 titles in the Wolfenstein series.

      Kilter Films is also producing the Prime Video series Fallout, which is set to release its second season in December. Additionally, Amazon is working on several video game adaptations, including a Mass Effect series, a God of War series, and a project based on Warhammer 40,000, featuring Henry Cavill.
