Marvel marks 70 years of The Muppets with special mash-up variant covers.
Marvel Comics is preparing to commemorate the 70th anniversary of The Muppets with a collection of ten variant covers that will feature Kermit and his friends reenacting some of the most famous comic book covers from Marvel's history.
Throughout the years, The Muppets have become experts at parodying pop culture. Fans can expect to see Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Sam Eagle, Swedish Chef, and others mimicking classic Marvel Comics narratives, including the debut of Spider-Man and the original Secret Wars! With The Electric Mayhem coming together as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Miss Piggy brandishing the Infinity Gauntlet (yikes!), these amusing and unique pieces are filled with quintessential Muppets antics. They are sure to be essential items for Muppets enthusiasts and collectors, marking the most remarkable, inspiring, celebratory, and Muppetational variant cover initiative ever!
