Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper come together again for Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor Adventures - The Last Days of the Powell Estate.
Big Finish has just launched the first episode of a new 12-part bi-monthly Doctor Who series featuring the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler. They are now revealing details about the second episode, titled The Last Days of the Powell Estate. This next installment transports us to the mid-2030s for another thrilling adventure at the Powell Estate.
In this episode, the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler arrive at the Powell Estate in 2036, but Rose’s future home is drastically different from what she remembers. The estate stands deserted; no Londoner dares to venture there, and even the homeless avoid it due to the presence of a fearsome figure known as Mr. Fingers. Fortunately, assistance comes from Rose’s mother Jackie and her friend Brainy Betty.
When the Doctor and Rose collaborate with Ellis Coates, an urban explorer and influencer, the trio sets out to uncover the identity of the ominous Mr. Fingers and his activities in the once vibrant estate.
A talented cast joins Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper in this upcoming episode, including Camille Coduri reprising her role as Jackie, Harki Bhambra as Ellis Coates, and Mandi Symonds as Betty.
Writer Timothy X Atack remarked: “I have a profound affection for Doctor Who’s more eldritch, Lovecraftian villains, especially when you end up knowing just as little about them in the end as you did at the start. Sometimes you just want something that embodies hatred, and that’s what Mr. Fingers represents. He loathes life.”
