Drawing inspiration from the classic 1980s animated series, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction allows players to take on the roles of beloved characters such as He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms, and others as they combat the evil plots of Skeletor and his minions, who threaten the peace of Eternia.
Players will navigate through 12 thrilling levels in traditional 2D brawler fashion, utilizing a variety of character-specific moves, abilities, and power-ups. Additionally, Cringer will join the battle in his courageous Battle Cat form, fighting alongside the heroes against Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, and numerous other villains.
“Dragon Pearl of Destruction is an exciting way we are bringing Mattel’s brands to life through digital gaming,” stated Erika Winterholler, Head of Business Development, Digital Games at Mattel. “It serves as a tribute to those who grew up with He-Man, merging nostalgic graphics with fast-paced, contemporary gameplay. Our intention is to honor the franchise’s legacy while introducing it to a new audience. The Limited Run Games team shares this enthusiasm, and we hope the game resonates with both long-time fans and newcomers.”
Featuring 80s-style visuals, pixel-art animation, and designs from dedicated artists, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction is definitely one for fans to eagerly anticipate.
