The Red Strain DLC for Atomfall is scheduled for release in September.

Rebellion has announced that the second DLC for Atomfall, titled The Red Strain, will be released on 16th September, accompanied by a brand-new teaser trailer. The trailer, which can be viewed below, showcases a walk along a foreboding railway while a robotic voice delivers warnings and instructions. The destination of this railway is still a mystery that will be revealed in a couple of weeks.

While Rebellion has not shared specific details about the new story expansion, they have promised to disclose more information as the release date approaches. What is known is that the DLC will likely center around an industrial facility situated on a rocky hill, surrounded by trees, grass, and peculiar red foliage. Players can also anticipate additional mysteries to uncover and resolve.

Atomfall is Rebellion's highly successful survival-action game, where players navigate, scavenge, craft, and battle through a quarantine zone in the scenic northern England countryside. Inspired by the Windscale nuclear incident of 1957, Atomfall immerses players in a thrilling world filled with enigmas and dangers that blend elements of science fiction, folk horror, and Cold War themes.

Be sure to watch the new trailer and stay tuned for more updates on this exciting story expansion coming soon. Atomfall’s The Red Strain DLC will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 5, and PS4 on 16th September.
