Experience the world of James Bond in the gameplay reveal video for 007 First Light.
During a special Sony PlayStation State of Play, IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios showcased the first gameplay footage of the upcoming 007 First Light and announced that this reimagined origin story of James Bond will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on March 27th.
The in-depth gameplay video offered viewers a glimpse into the various locations players will explore in the game. Highlights include an undercover mission set during an exclusive chess tournament in Slovakia and another at a lavish gala in Kensington, London. IO Interactive has designed the missions to allow players to approach objectives using different skills, whether it be pure stealth, direct combat, or a combination of both.
Given that the game revolves around the world’s greatest spy, the incorporation of spycraft skills is as significant as any weapon in Bond's arsenal. Players will have the ability to eavesdrop, pickpocket, and search for clues, all of which can create new opportunities in each mission. Bond will also be able to use his instincts to manipulate enemies into vulnerable situations, deflect suspicion with bluffs, or enhance his focus during combat.
Players will surely appreciate the inclusion of Q Branch gadgets. Thankfully, IO Interactive has integrated a variety of gadgets and gizmos into the game, many of which will unlock as players progress through different levels.
The cast for voice and motion capture has been announced, featuring Patrick Gibson (Dexter: Original Sin, The OA) as Bond, Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Miss Moneypenny, Lennie James (Fear the Walking Dead, Save Me) as Bond’s mentor, John Greenway, and Noemie Nakai as Miss Roth.
Pre-orders for 007 First Light are now open, with those who pre-order receiving an upgrade to the Deluxe Edition, which includes item skins, outfits, weapon skins, and a 24-hour early access. There will also be a Specialist Edition that features an exclusive Classic Tux outfit for Bond and unique packaging for the game case. Additionally, a Legacy Edition will be available that contains the Deluxe Edition content, an Exclusive Golden Gun weapon skin, the Obsidian Gold Suit outfit, a Golden Gun Figurine with Stand & Secret Compartment, a Certificate of Authenticity, and a Steel Case with Magnet.
Mark your calendars for the arrival of 007 First Light on March 27th for PC and consoles.
