Trailer for the Korean mystery thriller The Villagers featuring Don Lee

      In anticipation of its digital release this October, Well Go USA has unveiled a trailer for writer-director Im Jin-soon’s South Korean mystery-thriller, The Villagers.

      Don Lee, known from Train to Busan and Eternals, plays Ki-Chul, a former boxer who takes on a position as a gym teacher at a high school located in an unfamiliar town. However, when a student goes missing, he partners with her best friend Yu-jin (played by Kim Sae-ron) to uncover the truth behind her disappearance and reveal a far-reaching conspiracy.

      The cast of The Villagers also features Kim Sae-ron, Lee Sang-yeob, Jin Sun-gyu, and Jang Gwang. Check out the trailer below…

      Ki-chul (Don Lee) arrives at a rural high school as the new gym teacher but struggles to adapt to his surroundings, sensing something is distinctly wrong with the town and its inhabitants. Yu-jin (Kim Sae-ron) is a student whose best friend has vanished without a trace. While everyone else believes she has run away, Yu-jin is convinced she has been kidnapped. With Ki-chul's assistance, she embarks on a perilous journey to uncover the truth…

      The Villagers will be available digitally on October 7th.
